Greek Mythology at Raffles Istanbul

Greek Mythology at Raffles Istanbul

As Wedding & Event Designers, we love to create and write down stories for each of our couple after finalizing the details of their wedding ! While preparing the moodboards and discussing the design of our up-coming wedding at Istanbul Raffles Hotel, we got inspired by the Greek Mythology. Eros, the god of love, and Venus, the goddess of love and beauty, came to life with live mannequins at the wedding. Venus and Eros gave a unforgettable ceremony show to all of the guests and most importantly to our bride and groom. As the guests started to enter to the venue, love of god and love of goddess took their positions and made an impression of greek sculputres. As the welcome reception continued, they started to change their positions and greeted the guests with different positions-making them a little surprised. Once the ceremony started, before the bride & groom entrance-Eros and Venus stepped in to the ceremony area. They made a small teatre where they showed how our couple fell in love according to the Greek Mythology. After their remarkable short show, it was time for entrance of our couple! The show was great, the live mannequins were creative, the guests were enjoying their time...and the details were ready to attract... In the dining area beige and purple had the main control. Different shaped tables-some with flower tops, mirrors, small crystal details, white flower arrangements and candles..they all came together to be a part of the Greek Mythology Wedding. The show and the usage of different style of chairs, tables and decorations gave the main impact to the whole atmosphere.
